Dentist Drama

Today I was remembering an incident at my former church where a staff member gave a testimony that occurred at the dentist office. This person went to the dentist and was so consumed with the realization that they had a "pastor" that they began to cry in the dentist chair. The testimony centered around how awesome the pastor was and how they were moved to uncontrollable tears at this realization. This person cried so much that the dentist ( unable to do any work on this person at this time) had to wait till the deluge of tears subsided before they could continue the appointment. All this over the realization that they had a pastor?????? I found myself wondering if they had ever had to delay a dentist appointment due to tears over the realization that they had a SAVIOR?????

I began to think back on how twisted the priorities at mfc were. There were many services that centered completely around the pastor! Not Jesus! The pastor's, achievements, anointing, family problems, successes, desires and agenda. There were many services that people walked away having never heard anything about Jesus, just about the pastor.

Many church members now sport bumper stickers on their cars supporting the pastor. Not one of these has a bumper sticker supporting JESUS! WHEN DID THE PASTOR BECOME MORE IMPORTANT THAN JESUS?

It sickens me to realize that I was drawn into such a farce and allowed myself to be so monumentally deceived! I have my focus on track now and Jesus and righteousness are number one! If you are in a church that "promotes and pushes the pastor" get out. The church should be promoting one thing, JESUS!

Bumper stickers with a pastor's name on them? How stupid. No one reading the bumper sticker would even know who that was. Now people would at least recognize the name of Jesus on a bumper sticker and know who HE is! What kind of an idiot pastor would allow that anyway. He must be a full of himself, pompous, donkey's rear end! Not to mention what total idiots we have on the streets. People who drive cars should have some sense.

Yea, I remember those services where the pastor was always talking about how good looking he was and what a good teacher he was. He was so stuck on himself and thought he was all that. I'm with you - Jesus should be the one being lifted up. I hate those bumper stickers. The first time I saw one I couldn't believe the man worship it promoted. WHAT ABOUT JESUS?! Why not put a bumper sticker promoting him instead of a man? I know real ministers that would not allow people to draw attention to them, but would point people to Jesus. That's the way it's supposed to be. When a pastor is always tooting his own horn, you better get out quick. There is trouble ahead!

Ewwww...I remember that "testimony" very distinctly. I remember feeling so much like I had wasted my time rushing to get to that meeting. That is so Jim Jones-esque, isn't it?

Pastor worship is dangerous! A true pastor wouldn't want that. Any "pastor" who craves attention, worship, and royal treatment is not a real pastor. Take heed people. He's only out to get your money!

Sad thing about this story is that this person does not have a "pastor" nor do they work for a man that cares a rip about them. As long as they tell stories like that then they will be in the good graces of their "so called pastor." But just let them question him and then they will find out how little he really does care about them. Actually this staff member already knows what he is really like, they just are to caught up in his hipe to admit it.

Well said anonymous June 7 at 3:22. She really doesn't have a pastor. I hope she wakes up soon and realizes that!

I know this particular person and I have seen her backstab whoever she can to get in better with her "pastor". One day she will realize that he wasn't worth it and will be crying about all of the friends she's lost.

u all can shove it, i love pastor webb, and the word he brings to the table. It has taken me higher. everyone who abandoned pastor webb when he needed you the most, have become nothing but angry and bitter. i am so glad i stayed, because i would be just like you guys if i did, mad and angry at the world. i can think of many stories where he has helped his congregation in so many ways. This is how you treat him, by writing a blog about him. I cant believe you would kick somebody when they were down. And imagine if you were this family, knowing that there are plenty of blogs on the internet trashing you and your family, saying lie after lie. i wish you guys would take a step back and look at what you are really doing.

To anon August 8, 7:41, You don't know what you are talking about. We are not angry and bitter. We are happy and thrilled to be away from a narcissitic, lying pastor. I feel sorry for you because one day you are going to realize that he doesn't care about you at all. He has abandoned many people and he will eventually abandon you. Many people have been hurt by him and the reason people are speaking out is because they finally can! For years people were under his control and weren't allowed to voice any opinion at all. He has kicked many a good men while they were down and been down right mean. Haven't you heard him call people clowns, idiots, and goats? Ummm...maybe you should right him an email and tell him that he should move on and not trash people. There are no lies here. It's all true!! The sad thing is that you believe the ones he has told you. The things on this blog are true and are being said to try to help people like you realize what you are a part of. The longer you stay there they more duped you will be. You better wake up, step back, and realize that you are a part of something evil. By the way, saying "you can shove it" is not very nice. You should check up on yourself. One more thing, why are you on here reading this anyway? And what makes you think this is all about you and your pastor? You must know him well to know that these things could apply to him.

Saying "you can shove it" sounds exactly like the the man who claims he is a pastor. It is mean and has no love in it! Aren't ya'll preaching walking in love over there right now? Doesn't faith work by love? HMMMMMM

The pastor we are all talking about is mean! If you only knew all the times he has been mean to people, I don't think you would still be there. Oh wait....you are under his spell and I guess it's going to take a burning bush to help you see the light.
